Behind The Lens

I just want to take a few moments and let you all into my Mind's Eye, and my story...

Behind the Lens:

Photography, something that never peaked my interests much in the least. However.. it seemed to really grab my attention after my father passed away strangly enough. As far back as I can remember.. I remember seeing my 'ol man with his camera takin shots of everything. My 'ol man the photographer. So why did i have such a strong urge after he passed to take up photography and purchase my first camera? Well..  Maybe I thought it was somehow a way to get a little closer to my father whom I never really knew all that well. Call me what you will.. but I believe it was my 'ol man showing me that I have a gift. I believe it was my 'ol man for the first time.. telling me to believe in myself. I Believe.. it was Fate.

My Mind's Eye:

Usually the first responce i get toward my photography is.. HOW THE?! With thanks to todays technologies there are manny forms of digital manipulation which seem to be controversial at times. Some people seem to like the natural raw photo as opposed to the digitially modified. Where do I stand? Well.. somewhere inbetween i suppose! I like not to think of it as touched up or modified. They way i process my photos is a way i like to call, My Mind's Eye. Its the photograph you see in your mind the moment your taking the picture. Some fairly modified, some not touched up in the least. I consider my photography a form of Art, because each photo I produce is unique in quite often manny ways more than one.
